Mitch Brooks, CEO,
is a consultant for profit and
non-profit organizations seeking
advice and assistance with
fundraising campaigns and
management. He has
trained, advised, and assisted
Board of Directors in
fundraising methods and
practices and evaluated the
efficiency of Board of Directors
and professional staff
management practices. He
has conducted seminars and
workshops on fundraising in
non-profits. He has
assisted organizations in
raising over $24.4 million since
1987.
Mr. Brooks is the founder and
organizer of many non-profit
group throughout the east coast
including the Boys and Girl
Clubs of Charlotte County and
Florida Endangered Wildlife.
This involved the recruitment of
top officials and community
leaders and advising the
founding Board of Directors in
the establishment of the 501
(c)3 youth agency. He
negotiated proposals for use of
facilities, research grants, set
up the annual fundraising
campaign and produced public
relations materials and worked
with the regional representative
in the commitment of grants from
the government and private
organizations.
His experiences include:
grant writing, special event
organization for both non-profit
and for-profit corporations,
annual giving campaigns,
volunteer development, capital
campaign organization and
enrollment, volunteer
recruitment, membership
recruitment & retention,
non-profit organization and
administration. He has a
Bachelor of Arts Degree in
Non-Profit Administration and a
minor in management and
accounting from Salem College.
He has served as Executive
Director and on the Professional
Staff with several non-profits
organizations including the YMCA
in New Jersey, the Boy Scouts of
America in Pennsylvania and New
York, the National Spa and Pool
Institute Chapters in Florida,
and the Association of Pool and
Spa Professional Chapters in
Florida. He has served as
a faculty member of the
Continuing Education Department
of Edison Community College.
He is a member of the
Association of Fundraising
Professional, American Society
of Association Executives and
the Association of Non-Profit
Executives. He is a member
of the Charlotte County Chamber
of Commerce, Greater Fort Myers
Chamber of Commerce, the
American Association for Leisure
and Recreation, and the National
Association for Sports and
Physical Education, and the
Jaycees. He serves of the
Board of Directors of the Boys &
Girls Clubs of Charlotte County.
He has received many awards from
the organization and has recently
completed two one year terms
as Board President. He has
also received awards over the
years from other organizations
including: Eagle Scout
Award, a Vigil Honor member of
the Order of the Arrow (Boy
Scouts of America), Founder's
Award recipient of the Order of
the Arrow (Boy Scouts of
America), District Award of
Merit (Boy Scouts of America),
